Owner, Feroza Saidwan-Carvalho has been passionate about food since childhood. She mapped out an educational and career path for herself that encompassed every aspect of culinary and hospitality training. Her vast experience and knowledge of food and service has given her the tools to launch into this venture.
Born and raised in the beautiful island of Trinidad & Tobago. In 1998 this Entrepreneur successfully owned and operated a three pastry shops, a production kitchen, exclusive contracts to supply desserts to over 20 restaurants on the island and numerous corporate catering contracts.
Corporate relocation resulted in a move to Houston Texas. Happily settled with her husband Don and two sons Michael & Adam, Feroza has now transplanted Donafe’s to the Vintage Park in Houston TX in 2014, and is very proud to offer and serve not only some of the flavors of Trinidad & Tobago but also the flavors that draws from the rich cultural heritage and culinary traditions which reflects tastes, seasonings and spices influenced by many regions of the world due to the islands history. Together with Don and the boys, this small family owned business warmly welcomes all visitors to taste the islands of Trinidad & Tobago
